Tobee slurry pumps are designed to handle various types of abrasive materials in many applications. They are offered in a wide range of sizes and configurations. Common lining materials include rubber and hyperchrome alloys. The bearing assembly is grease-lubricated for easy maintenance, and the shaft seal can be furnished in either expeller type, where no flush water is required, or a standard stuffing box type. Aggregate processing is a common application in slurry pump, slurry pump to pumping sand and aggregate requires pumps to handle heavy erosion. Abrasive materials such as rocks, sand and debris wear out pump parts rapidly. The slurry pumps require frequent maintenance and downtime for repair. The abrasive materials also cause major issues for gland packing and mechanical seals. Freque nt adjustments and maintenance is needed along with large amounts of flush water to flush out debris from seals.
