Tobee® Slurry Pump Parts Stuffing Box EAM078D21 is an assembly which is used to house a gland seal for 8x6E-AH Slurry Pumps and 10x8E-M Slurry Pumps. The stuffing box parts used to prevent leakage of fluid, such as water or slurry, between sliding or turning parts of sealing arrangement.
Slurry pump stuffing box is one of shaft seal parts in gland packing seal pumps where the packing is housed in. The packing area of stuffing box is longer than expeller ring, so it can contain more packing. Clean water is injected into the stuffing box to flush solid particles away and to cool and lubricate the packing and shaft sleeve. Stuffing box type sealing provides a more robust configuration for slurry pump and is able to operate effectively under a broader range of conditions. Slurry pump stuffing box components are of D21 cast iron, A05 high chrome, stainless steel, brass or other application-specific materials.
