Tobee® Expeller EAM028A05 is also one of the important parts of the 8/6E-AH Slurry Pump. It is combined with expeller ring to form the power seal of the slurry pump. It is one of the three types of slurry pump shaft seals.
When the expeller of the slurry pump is working, the main shaft of the slurry pump rotates together, and the liquid in the expeller will also rotate together. The rotating liquid will generate an outward centrifugal force, which on the one hand resists the flow to the mechanical seal. Liquid reduces the pressure at the mechanical seal. On the other hand, it prevents the solid particles in the medium from entering the friction pair of the mechanical seal, reducing the wear of the mechanical seal grinding block and prolonging its service life.
In addition to the sealing effect, the expeller of the slurry pump can also reduce the axial force. In the submersible sewage pump, the axial force is mainly caused by the differential pressure of the liquid acting on the impeller and the gravity of the entire rotating part. Composition, the direction of action of these two forces is the same, and the resultant force is formed by the addition of the two forces. It can be seen that when the performance parameters are exactly the same, the axial force of the submersible sewage pump is greater than that of the general horizontal pump, and the difficulty of balancing is more difficult than that of the vertical pump.
And if the expeller is installed, the direction of the pressure difference force acting on the expeller by the liquid is opposite to the resultant force of the above two forces, so that part of the axial force can be offset and the bearing life will be prolonged. However, the use of the expeller sealing system also has a disadvantage, that is, a part of the energy is consumed on the expeller, generally about 3%, but as long as the design is reasonable, this part of the loss can be reduced to a minimum.
