Tobee® 4x3D AH Slurry Pump with Rubber Liners is popular in pumping fine aggregates. The construction aggregate industry transports slurry in various forms, from fine sand to coarse aggregate. Fine particle sand can be extremely abrasive and often rapidly wear down a slurry pump. The properties of coarse aggregates that can affect the performance of the pump are size, shape and surface texture, and gradation of particle sizes, with fine materials developing excessive friction in the pipeline. Rubber lining slurry pump has been used for almost a century to protect plant and equipment from wear, and has retained its position as the preferred wear material for the pumping and separation of fine particle slurries.As the particles hit the surface, the rubber deforms, absorbing the kinetic energy of the particle. The resilient nature of the rubber returns most of this energy to the particle, causing it to rebound with little or no wear.
Slurry pump mainly is used to convey solid and liquid mixture , so it is required to be lined with wear and corrosion resistant materials to resist the impact , abrasion and corrosion that caused by the slurry. Slurry pumps are now mainly in two categories according to the liner material: one is the alloy slurry pump lined with gray cast iron, black cast iron or other wear-resistant metals; the other one is wear-resistant rubber slurry pump with wear – resistant rubber liners.
